CorBon is the
leader in high velocity ammunition, generating maximum
performance from every loading. CorBon is proud of this
reputation and is willing to put that velocity right on the box.
These are real velocities, from real guns - not just test
barrels. Every company has to have a niche in the marketplace.
Peter Pi, the founder of CorBon, decided that someone had to be
the best and built his company around that idea.
The faster a
bullet is traveling, the more energy created. Energy developed
at the muzzle must be transferred or "dumped" into the target to
be effective. Energy transfer is aided by bullet expansion. The
higher the velocity, the more rapidly the expansion - the more
rapid the expansion, the more effectively the energy is expended
in the target. This explosive expansion dumps the available
energy quickly, creating tremendous shocking power and causing
the perpetrator to cease doing further harm, thus STOPPING
POWER. Stopping power means safety.
Hollowpoints
that are moving too slow, or limit energy transfer with a
"controlled expansion" design can over penetrate - going
straight through with little effect. Energy that passes through
the selected target is wasted energy and can cause harm to
unintended persons or property. Your intent is to STOP the
aggressor that is bent on doing harm to you. Regardless of the
situation, you will have to account for your actions and every
round that is fired.
Don't be
misguided by those who claim their bullets have some magical or
mystical performance advantage, or that they can make a reduced
power load with increased performance.
There
continues to be a misconception that a heavier bullet somehow
has more energy and that a long deep wound channel is necessary.
That may be true in a hunting bullet, but in close quarters
combat, the trade of less weight and added velocity is a
positive increase in energy. Energy is energy and if effectively
transferred into the target - it does not matter whether it is
energy from a 9mm or a .45 ACP.
CorBon
ammunition is tested against common barriers. When shot through
four layers of heavy material, (including leather) the CorBon
bullets retain adequate velocity to reliably expand. Tests
against windshield glass and car doors proved that the high
velocity CorBon bullets did not deflect from their intended path
and still expanded well into a gelatin medium. Car doors and
windshields are no barriers to CorBon high velocity ammunition.
Tactical
Rifle
CorBon
Tactical Operations Ammunition is a cut above the norm.
Pin-point accuracy and explosive expansion assures that any
encounter is concluded effectively. CorBon loads the ever
popular 223REM with a Sierra 55gr BlitzKing {polymer-point} that
has been highly effective where long-range critical placement
shots are mandatory. This is not reloaded military ammo in a
clean box.
Your options
include a new 223REM 40gr BlitzKing {polymer-point} that
combines super flat trajectory with utterly final terminal
ballistics. The protected point bullet is near ricochet proof.
It has a very high velocity of 3800 fps and pin-point accuracy.
For tactical use in close quarter urban environments it provides
an added level of performance and reduces over penetration.
CorBon also
makes available finely tuned .308 WIN tactical loads with 125gr
JHP bullets. This precision manufactured hollow point bullet is
extremely accurate, super effective, and require less sight
adjustment due to a very flat trajectory. The 125gr JHP or 168
HPBT is up to any task that the tactical shooter would ask of
it.
300 Whisper
This unique and versatile cartridge can be used as low recoil
pistol load or as an urban defense rifle. The 125gr JHP
self-defense or varmint load is moving out at 2100fps, the 150gr
JSP at 2000fps is an effective deer hunting load. For special
suppressed tactical operations, the 220gr load is just the
ticket. |
